It provides a map to essential personal work we need to do in order to improve our relationships, and influence with wisdom, power, and passionate confidence.

Ronna Phifer-Ritchie, Ph.D.

Dr. Ronna Phifer-Ritchie has been a coach, consultant, professor, public speaker/workshop leader, and author during the past two decades of her career. Because Ronna is a specialist in the professional application of the Enneagram, her colleagues have nicknamed her the Enneagal. In addition to being the Co-director of the Enneagram Institute of the San Francisco Bay Area, Ronna is a certified Riso/Hudson Enneagram Institute Teacher and Authorized Riso/Hudson Enneagram Workshop Presenter. She is an International Enneagram Association Accredited Enneagram Teacher and a member of the editorial committee for the IEA Professional Journal. Ronna is the project manager and assistant writer for a current Riso-Hudson relationship publication project, and has been a technical writer for other Enneagram publications. She is a graduate of the Enneagram in Business Train-the-Trainers Program and a candidate for professional certification in the Meyers Briggs Type Inventory. Ronna has a formidable passion for helping individuals broaden and optimize personality style as a developmental pathway to true spiritual progress. She is a researcher in early Christian Studies and their connections to personality science.

Ronna holds a doctorate in counseling psychology and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. Her doctoral research focused on the intersection of post-modern spirituality, the Enneagram of Personality, and the broader field of personality science. Teaching leaders, professional helpers, parents, students and other future influencers how to loosen up the restricting edges of their personality and transcend unnecessary fears, habits, and image issues forms the core of her work.

Ronna is a frequently requested workshop leader, delivering dynamic keynote speeches, seminars, and trainings that use humor and experiential learning to accelerate personality style awareness and enhancement in members of teams and organizations. She served as a faculty professor in the Counseling Psychology department at William Jessup University; and continues to work with college students, helping them develop effective strategies for successful navigation through the world of higher education, out into the world of work. Ronna delights in cultivating relational resilience in individuals and in organizations facing interpersonal challenge and transition. She has completed advanced studies in group dynamics and professional mediation. Ronna is also the creator of Launch to Life: Creating and Carrying Out Car Contracts that Build Your Teen’s Character, a parent/teen relationship development program that helps late adolescents build character and decision-making skills, and encourages parents to interact with their teens in wiser, more loving, more enjoyable ways.

Ronna is a professional member of the International Enneagram Association and the International Coach Federation. She is an ICF certified life coach through Coach for Life. In her spare time, Ronna is an amateur competitive ballroom dancer, godmother to the very special niece, and the wife of David Ritchie, a Bay Area musician.
